Baby born on 12/12 at 12:12 shares moment with last full moon of the decade

The last full moon of this decade wasn't the only beautiful site to be seen at 12:12 a.m. on 12-12 (Dec. 12).

Even more beautiful than the moon itself was the baby born during it: Denarius Bell, who made his arrival a few weeks early.

His mom, Denarrika Fisher, gave birth at Women and Infants Center at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois. Baby Denarius weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

The full moon on Dec. 12 -- also called the Cold Moon -- will always be connected to the baby's birth. His mom plans to give him the nickname "Moon," she told "Good Morning America."

According to the Farmer's Almanac, the Cold Moon "reaches peak fullness at 12:12 A.M. EST on the 12th day of the 12th month (Thursday, December 12)."

"His birth date and time will be really easy to remember the rest of his life," Fisher said, adding that she didn't realize the connection at first. It was her mother who noticed the time on the clock. The time of birth was then confirmed by the nurse at St. Elizabeth’s.
