Princess Kate brings daughter Charlotte for day out on London subway

Kate, the Princess of Wales, and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, lived like London locals over the weekend, commuting on London's public subway system.

Kate and Charlotte, 11, were photographed on Saturday sitting next to each other alongside fellow commuters on the London Underground, known by locals as "the Tube."

The mother and daughter took the Elizabeth line -- named after Charlotte's great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II -- and were seen exiting the subway at Tottenham Court Road in central London, a stop close to several shops, museums and theaters.

Kensington Palace has not commented, given that Kate and Charlotte's outing was done during private family time.

Kate and Charlotte enjoyed London on their own Saturday, without Kate's husband, Prince William, or Charlotte's siblings, Princes George and Louis.

The family of five has lived full-time since 2022 in Windsor, England, located around 25 miles outside of London. They also have a residence at Kensington Palace in the city.

Just one day before her outing with Charlotte, Kate visited Northern Ireland with William.

The couple spent Oct. 9 in the capital city of Belfast, meeting with young people and visiting organizations focused on preventing homelessness.
