Camilla, the Queen Consort, donned royal jewels for the first official tour of King Charles III's reign.

Camilla and Charles touched down in Germany Wednesday, attending a state banquet that evening at Schloss Bellevue, the presidential palace in Berlin.

For the banquet, Camilla wore the Boucheron diamond tiara and paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II with her necklace, made of fringed diamonds.

The necklace, called the Garter Star, is from the collection of the late queen, who died in September at the age of 96.

Camilla also accented her black and silver dress, by U.K. designer Bruce Oldfield, with the Grand Cross (Special Class) of the Federal Order of Merit, an honor given to her earlier in the day by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Charles and Camilla's trip to Germany is their only scheduled trip abroad before Charles' coronation on May 6.

The couple had planned to visit France prior to their stop in Germany but postponed that leg of their trip due to protests across the country over French President Emmanuel Macron's planned retirement reform.
