Jenna Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy share sweet photos with son Rome
Jenna Johnson and her husband Val Chmerkovskiy are enjoying parenthood.
On Thursday, the couple, both "Dancing with the Stars" pros, shared photos of themselves spending time with their son, Rome Valentin Chmerkovskiy, who was born in January.
The family wore matching denim in one Instagram photo shared by Johnson. Chmerkovskiy, meanwhile, shared a video from a photoshoot of him and his son wearing matching New York Yankees baseball caps.
Rome is the couple's first child together. They announced they were expecting in July 2022.
In March, the couple opened up to "Good Morning America," saying that Rome is their rainbow baby, after Johnson miscarried in 2021.
Johnson said at the time that the miscarriage affected her relationship with dancing and said she didn't want to dance for a while because she was "so angry." But, she said, dance turned out to be a way for her to escape.
She said that Chmerkovskiy was her "biggest support system" when she was pregnant with Rome.
"So tender and sweet," she said of Chmerkovskiy at the time.
Referring to their new parenthood journey, she added, "Those exhausting, tired moments when you're up at 4 a.m. together, and you're like, 'Oh my gosh, that's my teammate, and he's willing to do this with me."
