Shop Sephora's newly curated collection from Black-owned beauty brands

In early January, makeup retailer Sephora released "The Racial Bias in Retail Study", along with a pledge to address bias across its various platform. The study found that shoppers of color are two times more likely than white shoppers to receive unfair treatment based on their ethnicity.
But Sephora's equity issues have gone beyond in-store shopping: Only 3% of the brands in Sephora's retail outlets and online store are Black-owned.
To help combat inequity in its business, Sephora made a 15 Percent Pledge, aiming to raise representation of Black-owned brands to 15% of its shelf space. Now, the company has taken a step in that direction by curating a special collection of Black-owned beauty brands on its online store. Brands like Briogeo, FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna and Shani Darden Skin Care highlight the collection.
