Matt James reacts to his mom Patty competing on 'The Golden Bachelor'
Among the women vying for Gerry Turner's heart on "The Golden Bachelor" is someone who should be familiar to Bachelor Nation: "Bachelor" alum Matt James' mom, Patty James!
Matt James, who starred on season 25 of "The Bachelor," took to Instagram to react to his mom being one of the 22 women in Turner's cast.
"i ccc uuu mama," he wrote in support of his mom in a story post, sharing her headshot and adding a flaming heart emoji.
Earlier, Patty James responded to the announcement on her Instagram, describing her upcoming journey as "sooo exciting."
Matt James' girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell, whom he chose as the winner of his season of "The Bachelor," replied in the comments of Patty James' post, writing, "she's ready to find love," alongside two white heart emoji.
"so proud of you for putting your heart out there," Kirkconnell added in an Instagram story of her own.
Patty James, a 70-year-old retired real estate professional from Durham, North Carolina, has been single for almost 30 years, according to her bio.
"I want to meet someone who loves and cherishes me that I can live out my golden years with," she is quoted as saying in her bio, noting that she is looking for a kind, funny, smart and confident man.
"The Golden Bachelor" premieres Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
